UNSW Scientia Scholarship

The UNSW Scientia Scholarship is a prestigious undergraduate scholarship for students who achieve a raw ATAR (or equivalent) of 99.90 or above. It supports students commencing full-time eligible undergraduate study at UNSW and includes academic mentoring, invitations to special events, ambassador roles and opportunities to apply for research assistant positions. The scholarship may be deferred for up to one year and cannot be held with an Academic Achievement Award; payment is conditional on full-time enrolment at UNSW as at Census date in the year of award.

Academic mentors, invitations to special events, potential student ambassador roles, encouragement/opportunity to apply for faculty research assistant positions; a $5,000 once-off Scientia bonus payment in first year for students who also accept a UNSW Co-op Program Scholarship and are eligible.

Commencing an eligible UNSW undergraduate degree (most undergraduate programs except BMed MD), achieved a raw ATAR (or equivalent) of 99.90 or above in an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate in the year prior to commencement (IB score of 45 for IB students). International applicants undertaking this qualification must be residing in Australia and attending an Australian high school. Must have submitted a UAC Undergraduate Admission application and listed UNSW by the December Round 2 offer round (19 December 2026).

No separate application required; eligible candidates are identified automatically via their UAC Undergraduate Admission application and UNSW preference listing by the specified offer round.
