Evidence for Democracy Science to Policy Accelerator 2025

The Science to Policy Accelerator (S2PA) is a training program designed to equip early-career researchers in Canada with the skills, knowledge, and networks to engage effectively with public policy. It uses expert-led sessions, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies to translate research into action and prepare participants to engage with decision-makers in science policy.

Foundational knowledge of Canadian policymaking, practical skills in briefing note writing and policy engagement, networking with experts and peers, and exposure to real-world examples of influencing policy.

Early-career researchers in Canada with limited experience engaging in policy-making; must have completed a PhD within the past five years or a Master’s degree within the past three years.
