IDOS Researcher Position 2027 in Water Governance and Water Security – Germany

The German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) invites applications for a Researcher position in its Environmental Governance department. The role focuses on water governance, water security, water politics and policy advice, with emphasis on low- and middle-income countries and potentially conflict-affected settings. The successful candidate will contribute to academic research, policy advice, networking, science communication and funding proposals, based at IDOS in Bonn, Germany, on a 50% part-time contract for three years with a possible extension.

The position seeks researchers with a background in the social sciences, sustainability science, environmental governance, political ecology or related fields, and with demonstrated research and publication experience on water security issues.
