The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) is a fully funded master's scholarship for qualified nationals of eligible Asian Development Bank borrowing member countries. It supports graduate study in development-related fields at APU's Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies and covers tuition, fees, a monthly subsistence allowance, books, insurance and travel. Applicants must apply for admission to APU and request consideration for the scholarship within the APU online application; APU evaluates and recommends candidates to the ADB-JSP for final selection. The scholarship is funded by the Government of Japan and administered through the Asian Development Bank.
Benefici
Full admission and tuition fees, monthly subsistence allowance (JPY 144,000 indicated), book/materials allowance, medical insurance, and economy-class travel between home country and APU.
Requisiti
Applicants must be nationals of ADB borrowing member countries eligible for Japanese ODA scholarships, normally be 35 years old or younger, hold a bachelor’s degree with a superior record, have at least two years of full-time professional work experience after the bachelor’s degree, demonstrate English proficiency, and have gained admission to an approved master's course at a designated institution. Additional APU-specific income and residency requirements apply.
