Canada Graduate Scholarships — Master's level

The Canada Graduate Scholarships at the master's level provide financial support to students enrolled in a research-based master's program at Canadian universities. The program aims to develop research skills and attract top academic talent to Canadian universities. Recipients receive a substantial annual stipend to support full-time research and academic success.

Annual stipend of CAD 17,500 for 12 months; support for living expenses; funds may be used at an eligible Canadian host university.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in, have applied to, or will be enrolled in a full-time eligible research master's program; applicants must have a strong academic record and must not have previously held a federal master's scholarship.

Create an account and submit the application via the Government of Canada Research Portal; select up to three preferred Canadian host universities; applications are evaluated by university and national selection committees.
