DLR-DAAD Research Fellowships 2027

The DLR-DAAD Research Fellowships provide funded research placements at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for international graduates, PhD researchers, postdoctoral researchers and senior scientists to conduct defined research projects in aerospace, space, energy, transport, security or related fields. Each fellowship is tied to a named DLR institute and a defined topic, with opportunities across multiple research areas and applicant levels.

Monthly stipend; additional allowances (travel, rent, health insurance, family allowances) depending on type; research placement at DLR with access to institute resources.

Open to international applicants not of German nationality, with qualifications matching a specific fellowship advertisement; general requirements include a strong academic/research background suitable for the offer.

Identify a matching DLR research offer via the DAAD portal, read the offer PDF for qualifications and start date, then apply through the DAAD scholarship database and portal; arrange references if required.
