Wimaya International Scholarship (WIS)

The Wimaya International Scholarship (WIS) is a scholarship programme at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) for international students pursuing master's and doctoral degrees. The scheme offers two tracks, Full WIS (fully funded) and Partial WIS (partially funded), and provides tuition waivers and other support for successful candidates. Scholarship durations are up to two years for master's programmes and up to three years for doctoral programmes. Language of instruction may be English or Indonesian depending on the programme.

Tuition waiver (registration, matriculation and semester fees), two-month language programme fee waiver, BPJS health insurance (class II), monthly stipend (2,750,000 IDR), travel support (up to USD 200 each way), visa and ITAS cost coverage.

International applicants for master's must hold a bachelor's degree; applicants for doctoral studies must hold a master's degree. According to the current admission portal, applicants should be citizens of ASEAN countries; refugees with refugee-designated passports are not eligible. Applicants must meet English language requirements and translate required documents into English.

Apply online via UPNVY international admissions portal, select International Student Admission and the Wimaya International Scholarship (Full or Partial WIS), choose desired programme, complete the application form and upload required English-language documents; shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview by email.
