Canadian Consumer Protection Initiative Program 2025-2027

A funding program administered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s Office of Consumer Affairs to support consumer advocacy organizations. It funds independent research on consumer issues and the creation of resources to help consumers, with a view to strengthening capacity of ecosystem organizations in Canada. Each project can receive up to $500,000 and may run for up to 24 months.

Funding for independent research, development of consumer-focused resources, and capacity-building activities.

Eligible applicants are not-for-profit organizations or associations incorporated in Canada (federally or provincially) and/or not-for-profit social enterprises, cooperatives, consortia of non-profit organizations, post-secondary institutions or Indigenous organizations.
