Brisbane Homestay Komazawa Bursary

The Brisbane Homestay Komazawa Bursary is a University of Queensland scholarship that supports UQ students undertaking an exchange at a Japanese university. It is open to students from all study areas who have studied Japanese and have not previously undertaken language study in Japan. The bursary provides at least $1,800 and is awarded for one year. The fund is maintained from a donation by the Brisbane Homestay and Friendship Association.

At least $1,800 paid to the recipient; award duration one year.

Applicants must be current UQ students (undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework) who have studied at least 2 units of Japanese, be Australian citizens, have been accepted into an exchange program at a Japanese university, and must not have previously undertaken Japanese language studies in Japan.
