Infrastructure Efficiency Grant (IEG) Internship Programme

The Infrastructure Efficiency Grant (IEG) Internship Programme is a 36-month internship hosted by the University of Pretoria’s Department of Facilities Management. It provides practical workplace exposure, mentorship and professional development across disciplines within the built environment, including engineering, construction, property, project management, architecture and building maintenance. The programme targets young South Africans to complement their academic or technical qualifications with hands-on experience in facilities and infrastructure management.

Extended practical workplace experience; mentorship and professional development; exposure to facilities management and infrastructure-related environments; development of workplace and professional skills.

Young South Africans who have qualifications or studies in fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, construction, architecture or related built-environment disciplines; suitable for graduates or students, including TVET learners and final-year students.
