AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship 2025

The AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship is a 10-week summer placement for science, engineering, and mathematics students at media organizations nationwide. Fellows research, write, and report on today’s headlines to improve communication of complex scientific issues to the public. It includes a stipend and travel funding for the summer.

Stipend of $8,000 and travel expenses to and from AAAS and hosts.

Applicants must be enrolled as upper-level undergraduates or graduate students, or be a postdoctoral trainee, or apply within one year of completing either. They must be in life, physical, health, engineering, computer, or social sciences or mathematics and related fields.
