The CEGA Fellowship Program 2025-2026 invites researchers from East and West Africa to undertake a 16-week in-person fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley or Northwestern University. The program offers tracks in General Development Research, Early Childhood Development, and Youth Livelihoods, with opportunities to audit coursework, receive mentorship, and develop research proposals in quantitative social science. Fellows are supported to develop their research ideas and networks, with certain costs covered for the duration of the fellowship.
Benefit e finanziamento
Costs covered for travel, accommodation, meals, visa, and health insurance; a small stipend for miscellaneous expenses; potential sponsorship to visit other university campuses; mentorship and coursework access.
Requisiti
Applicants must be fluent in English, originate from East Africa or West Africa, have completed secondary education in an African institution, be early-career scholars (recent Master’s or PhD or PhD student), and hold a current position at a research institution in Africa.
Come candidarsi
Submit required materials via the Submittable portal by January 17, 2025 (5 pm GMT). Materials include a personal statement, CV, research proposal, evidence of leave approval, and references.
