17th ICMA Book Award 2026

The 17th ICMA Book Award 2026 is an international competition recognising excellence and innovation in book design and publishing. It evaluates cover design, typography, layout, illustration, materials, binding and overall production quality across a wide range of publication types. Eligible submissions include single books, series and individual design elements, and awarded projects may receive Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards or an Award of Excellence. Selected winners receive an official digital certificate and awarded works are published on the ICMA website.

The competition is open internationally to book design and publishing projects from around the world. Eligible works must have been created between 1 January 2025 and 31 October 2026 (with extended publication eligibility for series).

Send a printed copy of each book together with a completed participation/registration form to the ICMA Award in Germany and upload PDFs (title page, representative double-page spreads and cover) through the official Upload Centre; one registration form per submitted book.
