United Nations OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme 2025

The OHCHR Minorities Fellowship Programme (MFP) is a training programme for human rights and minority rights defenders belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities. It consists of a 4-week fellowship with a 1-week preparatory component in Strasbourg, France and a 3-week programme in Geneva, Switzerland, conducted in multiple languages. Fellows receive a return economy-class ticket, basic health insurance, and a stipend to cover modest accommodation and living expenses for the duration of the programme.

Applicants must belong to a national, ethnic, linguistic or religious minority and should have the ability and willingness to train others in their communities after completing the programme.

Fellowship application forms are available in English, Russian and Arabic; applications require a nomination letter from the sponsoring organization or community and must be fully completed.
