American Legion Baseball Scholarship

The American Legion Baseball Scholarship awards monetary scholarships to deserving baseball players each year. Department Baseball Committees may select players in their department to receive a $500 scholarship and selected recipients may be considered for additional All-Academic Team awards. Scholarship funds are payable upon high school graduation and must be used within eight years, excluding active military service. Several scholarships are awarded annually depending on applicants and trust fund interest.

Initial $500 department scholarship; potential additional $2,500 All-Academic Team awards for eight members; one additional $5,000 award for an outstanding All-Academic Team member. Funds available upon high school graduation and must be used within eight years (excluding active military service).

Must be a baseball player selected and nominated by a Department Baseball Committee and be a certified Department Baseball Scholarship winner; recipients must graduate from an accredited high school to access scholarship funds. All-Academic Team selection is based on performance and recommendation at the American Legion World Series.
