Scholarship for Students at Risk (University of Applied Sciences Salzburg)

The Scholarship for Students at Risk at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg supports students who are threatened with or deprived of the right to education in their country of origin to complete a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in Austria. The programme provides a monthly financial allowance to cover living expenses for the legal duration of studies with possible extensions for preparatory courses. It is targeted at non-European nationals who meet risk-related eligibility criteria and who have interrupted their studies within the two years prior to application. Tuition fees are not covered by the scholarship.

Monthly stipend of €1,200; financial support for the legal duration of studies plus specified extensions; safe study environment in Austria.

Applicants must be nationals of a country outside the EU, EEA, EFTA, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the United Kingdom; be deprived of or threatened with deprivation of the right to education for ethnic, sexual, religious or political reasons; be aged 35 or under at the time of application; have completed at least one semester of serious study in their country of origin; and have interrupted their studies within the two years prior to nomination.

Verify eligibility with the host institution, prepare required documents (official application form, CV, motivation letter, academic records, proof of interrupted studies and threats), and submit the complete application via the university's official platform for evaluation by a selection committee.
