Need-based Study Allowance (Estonia)

The Estonian state need-based study allowance provides monthly financial support to full-time Bachelor's and Master's students with low family income. The award level is calculated per household member and paid monthly in two fixed bands. Applicants must meet study progress requirements and residency or citizenship criteria set by the Estonian authorities.

Monthly financial support of €440 or €270 depending on household income per member.

Estonian citizens or holders of a long-term residence permit enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's or Master's programme who validate at least 75% of the required study load per semester and whose family monthly income per member is below the national threshold.

Log in to the Estonian Education Portal (Haridusportaal), complete the online scholarship application form during the open semester periods and submit required income and identity documents for assessment.
