Deutschsommer

Deutschsommer is a three-week summer programme run by the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft in Frankfurt am Main for children before fourth grade. It combines German language instruction, theatre work and leisure activities and culminates in a theatre presentation for families. The project includes follow-up modules from October to January for a group of participants and aims to strengthen German academic language, self-confidence and independence.

Three weeks of German language instruction, theatre workshops, leisure activities, and a final theatre presentation; follow-up modules from October to January for selected children.

The programme is aimed at Frankfurt third-grade pupils before entering fourth grade; additional places are provided for children from intensive classes who take part in a city-based Deutschsommer.
