Programa Personas Defensoras de los Derechos Humanos

The Programa Personas Defensoras de los Derechos Humanos is a week-long group visit organised by Fundación Carolina in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). It targets accredited human rights defenders in situations of vulnerability from countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations. The programme includes academic sessions, debates, meetings with specialists and visits to institutions to share knowledge, experiences and to build networks that strengthen democratic processes in the region.

One-week programme consisting of academic sessions, debates, meetings with specialists and visits to institutions to learn about public policies, programmes and experiences related to human rights and to foster networking.

Persons accredited as human rights defenders who are in a situation of vulnerability, from countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations, from diverse professional or academic backgrounds.
