Canada Gairdner International Award 2025

The Canada Gairdner International Award recognizes outstanding biomedical and global health researchers for seminal contributions to the understanding of human biology and disease. Nominations are invited for the 2025 award, with a $100,000 prize, an award citation and medal, and participation in related events and galas. The award emphasizes a distinct body of work rather than cumulative lifetime achievements and includes a nomination process with supporting materials.

Eligible nominees are exceptional, research-focused scientific investigators who have transformed the understanding of human biology and disease; they should have a distinct body of scientific research contributions and can be co-nominated with equal contributors or with those who have made parallel discoveries.

Nominations are invited through the Gairdner Foundation. The nomination package includes nominee details, a citation, a research summary, top publications, a short CV, contextual materials, and letters of evaluation.
