Richard-Willstätter-Preis für Chemische Biologie

The Richard-Willstätter-Preis für Chemische Biologie is an award recognising outstanding interdisciplinary research and contributions in chemical biology. It honours scientific insight into chemical–biological relationships and exceptional commitment to the field, for example through support of young researchers or shaping study programmes. The prize was first awarded in 2020 and is conferred in odd-numbered years. The award comprises a monetary prize and a certificate.

The prize recognises interdisciplinary research and achievements in chemical biology, including contributions to mentoring and the development of study programmes; recipients are outstanding scientists in the field.

Selection is made by the members of the advisory board of the Joint Division of Chemical Biology of DECHEMA, DPhG, GBM and GDCh.
