IDEA Community Fund

The IDEA Community Fund is a financial support fund operated by the Astronomical Society of Australia to assist ASA members experiencing financial hardship. The fund provides support for costs associated with hardship, for example mental health services such as therapy or psychology. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis by the IDEA Chapter Steering Committee and the ASA Executive.

Financial support to cover hardship-related costs (examples include therapist/psychologist fees).

Applications are welcome from any ASA member experiencing financial hardship; examples include those affected by the war in Ukraine or other conflicts who need help to cover costs such as mental health services.

Submit an application via the provided online form; applications are received by the Chair of the IDEA Chapter Steering Committee and considered as they are received.
