Le parole di Pinocchio

Le parole di Pinocchio is a cultural-educational project promoted by the Accademia della Crusca for the bicentenary of Carlo Collodi's birth. The project comprises three connected activities: remote didactic laboratories for 20 classes of Italian secondary schools, an in-person creative writing workshop for young people aged 18–30, and a public exhibition at the Accademia's Villa Medicea di Castello. Activities run between October 2026 and April 2027, with a closing ceremony and awards on 2027-04-15.

Prizes for the best class project awarded at the closing ceremony; five best creative-writing texts will be published on cruscascuola.it; access to workshops and educational laboratories; exhibition visits and guided tours (by reservation).

One strand involves 20 classes of the first two years of upper secondary schools (selected in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Regional School Offices). A separate creative writing workshop is open to young people across Italy aged 18–30.

Class participation was organised with the Ministry and Regional School Offices. The creative-writing workshop requires registration managed by Unicoop Firenze; participants must submit their texts by 2027-02-28 to an address provided during the workshop.
