Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships 2026/2027 for Developing Countries

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships are for candidates from least developed and lower middle-income Commonwealth countries, for part-time Master’s study by distance learning on selected courses offered by UK universities. The scholarships are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and cover six thematic areas related to development. The online application process is managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.

Citizens of or those with refugee status in eligible Commonwealth countries, or British Protected Persons; permanent resident of an eligible Commonwealth country; first degree of at least upper second class (2:1); financially unable to afford the course without this scholarship.

Apply through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission online system; must have admission to an eligible UK distance-learning master's course and submit via the CSC online portal.
