Digital Democracy Initiative Hackathon 2025

The Digital Democracy Initiative Hackathon 2025 supports local digital innovations that expand civic space. It invites civil society organizations or activist teams in specified Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries to develop solutions addressing digital democracy challenges, with funding and mentorship to help turn ideas into pilot projects. Selected teams will participate in an in-person hackathon in Bangkok, Thailand, and receive a sub-grant to fund development and piloting of their solution along with expert mentorship.

Sub-grant of $8,000; in-person hackathon participation in Bangkok; expert mentorship; networking opportunities within a regional civic tech community.

Open to civil society organizations and activist teams based in Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine or Turkey.
