Eliza Moore Fellowship for Artistic Excellence

The Eliza Moore Fellowship for Artistic Excellence is awarded annually to one outstanding, early-career artist developing new works that address plants, gardens, or landscapes. The award includes a $10,000 individual grant and requires a 2–5 week stay at Oak Spring. During the residency, the Fellow can engage with staff, explore the landscape, and access the library collection at Oak Spring Garden Foundation.

A $10,000 grant, travel arrangements to Dulles International Airport, housing during the residency, and access to on-site resources at Oak Spring Garden Foundation.

Eligible applicants must be early-career artists not enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in 2026.

Submit resume, a 200–300-word statement on artistic practice, a 200–300-word statement relating work to Oak Spring Foundation’s mission, and work samples via the application portal.
