Berkeley Summer Academy of Science

An intensive two-week in-person high school STEM program at UC Berkeley combining lectures and laboratory sessions with project-based work. Students learn foundations of modern science (quantum, optics & lasers, semiconductors, quantum tech) and build prototypes to showcase at a Completion Ceremony. The program includes lunches, visits to student labs and Silicon Valley companies, and interaction with UC Berkeley undergraduates and graduate students. The cohort is limited to 36 students.

Hands-on laboratory experience, daily lunches, visits to Berkeley student labs and Silicon Valley companies, mentorship/interaction with UC Berkeley undergrad and graduate students, opportunity to build and showcase a prototype.
