The IMU Breakout Graduate Fellowship Program 2026 offers a limited number of grants for excellent students from developing countries who plan to complete a doctoral degree in a developing country. Nominated students must have a strong academic record and intend a career in mathematical research and teaching.

Benefici

Grant up to US$10,000 per year to cover tuition, travel, housing, and basic living expenses.

Requisiti

Nominators must be university professors in mathematics who supervise master’s or PhD students; student nominees must be PhD candidates in a developing country and meet academic criteria, be accepted into a recognized PhD program, and be resident in a developing country.

Candidatura

Nominators submit letters of nomination and recommendations; nominees provide research project details, motivation, CV, acceptance letter for PhD, transcripts, and supervisor documents; all documents must be in English and uploaded as PDFs.
