Fellows Programme

The Fellows Programme places fellows, typically PhD students, researchers and professors, in time-bound assignments with FAO to contribute technical expertise and to fulfil specialised learning objectives. Assignments should be aligned with FAO's Strategic Framework and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. FAO does not provide any remuneration to fellows.

Candidates must be nationals of FAO Members and possess a graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) or be enrolled in a PhD programme; candidates should have at least two years of relevant working or research experience and working knowledge of at least one FAO official language.

Apply to the Call for Expression of Interest published on FAO's career portal by submitting an online application together with a research proposal; only selected candidates will be contacted; unsuccessful candidates before closing date should re-apply to new Calls.
