Frontier Technologies for Optical and Radio Astronomy – PhD school

A PhD school presenting cutting-edge technologies for ground-based optical and radio astronomical instrumentation, combining research and industry perspectives. It is aimed at PhD students in Astronomy, Physics and Engineering and is also open to young post-docs and early-career researchers. The programme includes face-to-face lectures, hands-on activities and a meeting with industry representatives. The school is organised by the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and funded by the Italian PNRR STILES programme.

Aimed at PhD students in Astronomy, Physics and Engineering; open to young post-docs and early-career researchers. The school is primarily intended for students currently enrolled in any PhD program in Italy; foreign students are welcome but must contact the organisers first.

Registrations opened on 2025-12-01 and close 2026-01-15; applicants may be selected by the SOC based on CV with priority to PhD students of Italian universities. Registration is via the event page.
