Imagine Cup

Imagine Cup is a global student startup competition for student developers and student-led startups building solutions using Microsoft AI and cloud technologies. Teams progress through MVP submissions, semifinals and a World Championship where finalists present to judges. The competition awards cash prizes, mentorship and opportunities for partnership and visibility with Microsoft and partners.

$100,000 USD top prize for Scale path and $50,000 USD for Launch path, mentorship sessions (including with Microsoft leadership), continued visibility and opportunities for partnership with Microsoft and partners.

The competition is for student developers and student-led startups; separate paths (Launch and Scale) have eligibility based on prior funding levels.

Teams register via the Imagine Cup website/portal and submit a Minimum Viable Product, then advance through semifinal and final stages according to competition roadmap.
