A competitive research grant program funding project-based cancer research conducted at Swedish universities and colleges. Grants support personnel and operating costs for projects across fields including medicine, healthcare, natural sciences, technology and social sciences. Grants are awarded to projects conducted at or affiliated with Swedish higher education institutions and are typically granted for three years with a grant period of 1 January–31 December. Applications are submitted in English via the Swedish Cancer Society's digital application system Fenix.

Requisiti
Applicants must have employment at a Swedish university or healthcare institution corresponding to at least 20% of full employment (affiliation with a Swedish university required if employed only at a healthcare institution). Project grants are primarily intended for researchers holding a PhD (applicants must have obtained their PhD before 2021-12-31) with scientific merits equivalent to docent and/or independence as a principal investigator.
