A summer research assistantship program run by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in which students conduct supervised research at NRAO or GBO sites. Projects may involve observational astronomy, instrumentation, telescope design, site evaluation or astronomical software development. The program runs for 10–12 weeks over the summer and includes a short talk and written report at the end of the appointment. Participants also take part in lectures, workshops, social events and may attend a radio astronomy workshop in Green Bank.

Requisiti
Undergraduate students; the NRAO Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is for undergraduates who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its possessions.
