Allianz Climate Risk Award 2026

The Allianz Climate Risk Award recognises early-career scientists whose work sheds light on the nexus between climate change and extreme weather events. The program operates across multiple tracks, including a Global Award, a Thematic Spotlight, and a Regional Spotlight for Asia, with monetary prizes for finalists and winners. Winners are invited to present their research at an event in Munich.

Monetary prize for winners and finalists; publication in a Compendium; invitation to Munich to present the research at the event.

Open to university students currently pursuing a PhD or post-doctoral work, as well as recent PhD graduates (final defense within two years prior to application).

Submit documents including a non-technical essay, a letter of recommendation, declaration form, CV, and completed application form to climaterisk-award@allianz.com.
