AIMS South Africa AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027/2028

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in South Africa invites applications for an Artificial Intelligence in Science postdoctoral fellowship. This is a one-year appointment linked to a separate Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship at Imperial College, London, with duties centered on conducting independent AI-enabled research in science or engineering at AIMS South Africa.

Salary, international travel, meals, and access to the research environment at AIMS South Africa

Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline by 1 September 2027; demonstrate leadership potential and an outstanding research record; propose a project within the AI in Science remit.
