Council of Europe Traineeship Programme 2026–2027

The Council of Europe Traineeship Programme 2026–2027 is an international traineeship opportunity for students and recent graduates. It offers hands-on work experience across departments and institutions of the Council of Europe, with mentoring, networking opportunities, and financial support. The main session runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, with approximately 80 positions available; some opportunities are also located in multiple European cities.

International work experience, mentoring, networking opportunities, exposure to European policy and governance, health insurance, monthly stipend, and leave entitlements.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have completed a minimum of three years of university studies, hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, have very good knowledge of English or French, be a citizen of a Council of Europe member state, and must not have previously completed a Council of Europe traineeship, study visit, or employment with the organization; immediate family members of current staff are ineligible.
