The Caine Prize for African Writing 2026 is a literary award with a £10,000 prize for the winner and £500 for each of four shortlisted writers. Submissions must be short stories published within the five years prior to the deadline, with entries submitted by a publisher. The prize includes a writers’ workshop and publication of the anthology.
