Institute for Law & AI’s Summer Research Fellowship (EU Law) 2026

The Institute for Law & AI’s Summer Research Fellowship (EU Law) 2026 is a paid research fellowship for graduate law students, professionals, and academics to work at the intersection of AI, law, and policy with a focus on EU Law. The program combines tailored research mentorship with career planning and opportunities to engage with policymakers and leaders in the field. Fellows receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and potential follow-on opportunities in law and policy.

Weekly compensation, in-person work at Cambridge (UK) with living-cost support, admission to the Cambridge Forum on Law and AI with travel expenses covered, close mentorship from researchers, networking opportunities, and potential follow-on funding or opportunities.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of the legal principles applicable to AI regulation in EU Law and may come from various backgrounds, including those who have studied outside the EU. Prior AI-specific research experience is not required.

Submit an application form by the stated deadline, followed by an exploratory interview, a research interview, and a final decision communicated by mid-March.
