Elsevier Foundation Chemistry for Climate Action Challenge 2026

Applications are open for the Elsevier Foundation Chemistry for Climate Action Challenge 2026. The challenge awards two winning projects with funding of 25,000 USD each for green and sustainable chemistry solutions in the Global South, advancing climate action and gender equity. Winners are announced at the 10th Elsevier Green & Sustainable Chemistry Conference in Dresden, Germany.

Prize money of 25,000 USD for each winning project; recognition at the conference.

Open to individuals and organizations whose projects use green and sustainable chemistry solutions to tackle developing world sustainability challenges.

Proposals must be submitted by October 1, 2025 via the application portal; shortlisted proposals will be announced by October 30, 2025.
