FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Summer Internship Program

The FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Summer Internship Program is a 10-week research internship offering hands-on experience in marine science and technology. Areas include aquaculture, biomedical and biotechnology, marine ecosystem health, ocean dynamics and modeling, ocean engineering and technology, and outreach and informal education. The program places interns with Harbor Branch faculty mentors and takes place at FAU Harbor Branch on the Indian River Lagoon in Florida. It is open to qualified undergraduate and graduate students who meet the eligibility requirements.

The major portion of the funding for this program is provided through the generosity of the Link Foundation; the Gertrude Skelly Foundation provides major support for interns in marine biomedical research.

Open to qualified undergraduate students who have completed the equivalent of two years of college, graduating seniors, and currently enrolled graduate students; applicants must be at least 18 years of age, in good academic standing, submit an official transcript, and non-U.S. citizens must have a current visa authorizing compensation and be eligible for a U.S. social security number.
