CARTA PhD Fellowship 2026

The CARTA PhD Fellowship 2026 offers a collaborative doctoral training program in public and population health. In 2026, CARTA will award fellowships to staff members of CARTA African partner institutions to support their PhD research and doctoral journey, including structured training, a laptop, a modest stipend for 28 months, and research funds. Applicants must conduct their PhD research on topics related to public and population health and be in the early stages of their doctoral studies or not yet enrolled.

Staff members at CARTA African partner institutions who hold a Master’s degree and have not yet registered for a PhD (or are in the very early stages of a PhD) are eligible. Applicants must be committed to pursuing PhD research in public and population health and obtaining institutional support.
