BOF Doctoral Scholarships (University of Hasselt)

The BOF doctoral scholarships of the University of Hasselt (Fonds Spécial de Recherche - BOF) provide funding for doctoral researchers of all nationalities to carry out a PhD at UHasselt. The programme supports research through two consecutive two-year contracts, totalling four years of financial support. It requires sponsorship by a UHasselt professor and submission of an external funding application to the FWO. The scholarship includes a monthly net salary, coverage of research-related costs and access to the university's research infrastructure.

Prepare a research proposal validated by the UHasselt supervisor; submit an internal application via the university's dedicated platform and simultaneously submit an external funding application to the FWO; evaluation by university scientific committees.
