International History Olympiad

The International History Olympiad is an international academic competition for students consisting of qualification exams, competitions and associated events such as field trips and a Family and Friends Program. Participating students register and complete required health and travel forms and must submit payment to be listed as attending. The Olympiad holds qualification exams prior to the main event and activates registration forms in the lead-up to each edition.

Participation in the Olympiad competitions, eligibility for field trips and access to a Family and Friends Program (subject to registration and payment).

Students can begin qualifying for the 2027 Olympiad in September 2025 when the new Olympiad Qualification Exam will be available. Competing students must complete registration forms.

Complete the competing student registration and associated forms; upon completion an invoice will be sent and payment must be received before a student is added to the List of Attending Students. Accepted payment methods include US dollar checks from US banks, wire transfers, or cash in US dollars or Euro equivalent at specified IAC championships.
