Sista Circle Mentorship Program (SCMP) 2026-2027

The Sista Circle Mentorship Program (SCMP) 2026-2027 is a flagship initiative by Cohort Sistas to support the success, retention, and leadership development of historically underrepresented doctoral students in their first and second years, especially Black women and nonbinary scholars. The 2026-2027 cohort runs from September 2026 through April 2027 and includes biweekly small-group mentorship circles led by Black women PhDs, monthly professional development workshops, and access to a community of mentors and peers.

Participation in biweekly mentorship circles, access to monthly professional development workshops, and inclusion in a vibrant community of scholars and mentors; a raffle for a $500 gift card or a complimentary one-year Doctoral Students membership upon program completion.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S.-based research doctoral program (PhD, EdD, DrPH, etc) in any discipline and be in their 1st or 2nd year of study as of Fall 2026. They must be able to commit to biweekly 1-hour mentorship meetings and participate fully in program activities, and have, or plan to activate, an annual Doctoral Students membership.
