Mercator Kolleg für internationale Aufgaben

The Mercator Kolleg für internationale Aufgaben is a cohort-based fellowship awarding 20 annual scholarships to mid-career professionals working on sustainable, inclusive and secure futures around the theme "Europe in the World 2030." Fellows participate in three residential seminar phases in Europe, undertake 6–10 months of practice placements worldwide, and join a network of alumni. The programme is a joint project of Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and Stiftung Mercator in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office.

Monthly stipend (EUR 2,200), foreign-location supplements, travel costs for seminars and work placements, travel budget, funding for language courses/training/conferences/coachings, family allowance, insurance, membership in the Studienstiftung network.

Applicants must have a Master's degree or a doctorate, 1 to about 10 years of professional experience (excluding internships) at application deadline, very good English and fluent German. German citizens are eligible; non-German candidates may apply if they hold a permanent residence permit or, as EU citizens, obtained a degree in Germany and have their main place of residence in Germany.
