Utrikesadministratörsprogrammet

Utrikesadministratörsprogrammet is a government trainee programme that prepares future chancery managers/administrative officers for service at Sweden's foreign missions and at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm. The programme begins with an approximately six-month theoretical and practical training period, followed by overseas stationing at a Swedish foreign mission. Placements typically last three to five years and successful participants are employed by the Ministry and obliged to serve in Sweden's foreign representation.

Applicants must be Swedish citizens, hold an academic degree and have at least five years' professional experience in administration, finance, HR, law or other relevant fields. Good oral and written Swedish and English are required; further world language skills and relevant public sector experience are meritorious. A Swedish category B driving licence (non-automatic) is required.
