Communicator-Preis – Wissenschaftspreis des Stifterverbandes 2027

The Communicator-Preis is an annual award presented by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) together with the Stifterverband for outstanding achievements in science communication. It is given to individual researchers or research teams who make their scientific work and field accessible to a broad public in innovative and effective ways and engage in dialogue between science and society. The prize is endowed with 50,000 euros and aims to support the awardees in further developing their science communication activities.

Prize money of €50,000; public recognition and support to further develop science communication activities; award ceremony at the DFG annual assembly.

Applications and proposals are accepted from researchers working at universities and non-university research institutions in Germany; both self-applications and third-party nominations are possible.

Applications and proposals must be submitted via the DFG elan portal; registration in elan is required prior to submission (registration deadline 2026-09-23); team members each need an elan account; third-party proposals are submitted via the nominee's elan account.
