Becas del Ayuntamiento de Madrid en la Residencia de Estudiantes

The Becas del Ayuntamiento de Madrid en la Residencia de Estudiantes are nine one-year residency scholarships for young researchers, creators and artists to develop their work in an interdisciplinary environment at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid. The programme offers nine places distributed evenly across postgraduate Social Sciences and Humanities, postgraduate Natural Sciences and Technology, and Creators and Artists. The residency period runs for 12 months from 15 December 2026 to 14 December 2027 and includes full board accommodation at the Residencia de Estudiantes.

Full board accommodation during the 12-month residency; placement in one of nine scholarship positions.

Applicants must hold Spanish nationality, nationality of any Ibero-American country, or nationality of a European Union country; must not have turned 31 by the application deadline; and must have completed postgraduate studies or demonstrate a consolidated artistic/creative trajectory.

Online application opened 3 September 2026; selection in two phases (document evaluation and a personal interview) with final ranking by combined score.
