Support for Text and Video Reports on Non-Economic Loss and Damage (Bay of Bengal coast, 2026)

A competitive grant programme providing financial support and editorial mentorship to selected communicators reporting on Non-Economic Loss and Damage (NELD) along the Bay of Bengal coast. The programme supports production of in-depth text, video or audio reports that examine climate impacts and community resilience. Selected recipients receive a monetary award for reporting costs and one-to-one editorial mentorship, and their stories are expected to be published by the organiser.

A grant of up to INR 90,000 or BDT 1.20 lakh per selected applicant; 1:1 editorial mentorship; publication support.

Communicators reporting from coastal Bangladesh and coastal areas of the Indian states of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Groups may apply with a single lead applicant; applications in English, Bangla, Odiya, Telugu or Tamil are accepted.

Submit a pitch and detailed budget using the provided template; applications may be submitted in English, Bangla, Odiya, Telugu or Tamil; group applications must nominate a single lead applicant who will receive funds if awarded.
