Write East

Write East is a stipend programme for media professionals organised by the Leibniz Research Network Eastern Europe. It offers participants a one-week residency at a Leibniz research institute to develop an independent research project linked to the host institute's work and to gain access to research sources and exchange with researchers. The programme aims to strengthen exchange between science and media on topics related to Eastern Europe.

One-week residency at a Leibniz research institute, access to research sources, intensive exchange with researchers, stipend of 850 EUR and a travel allowance of 150 EUR.

Journalists, authors and media professionals who work on or wish to work on the Eastern Europe region; applications from domestic and international applicants in German or English are welcome.
